Counseling Service for Multicultural Families

The city of Daejeon operates Multicultural Family Consulting Windows at city hall and the five Gu (ward) Offices of the city. Also, 1:1 counseling is offered to provide a variety of information and services.

Danuri Call Center 1577-1366

The Danuri Call Center provides individualized services to migrant women and multicultural families settling in or living in Daejeon, and services as a human rights protection hotline for counseling and emergency assistance to migrant women who are victims of domestic violence.

Emergency assistance and follow-up care for victims of violence
  • Emergency safe houses (with accommodation for victims’ children)
  • Referrals to protective facilities for victims of domestic violence, sexual violence and sex trafficking
  • Referrals to medical, legal, public prosecutor and police services
General living information
  • Information on support programs for multicultural families
  • Information on Korean language education and support programs for multicultural children
  • Information on visa and residency matters, naturalization, legal affairs, labor affairs and employment
Everyday interpretation and three-way phonr call services
  • In-family communication support
  • Three-way phone call services to assist people unable to speak Korean (with police, emergency services, hospitals, community centers, educational institutions, banks, etc.)
Family counseling and couples counseling

Counseling, psychological and emotional counseling, and interpretation services to resolve family conflicts
Legal counseling Legal counseling through the Korean Bar Association

Every Tuesday 14:00~16:00 (once a week), prior reservations necessary
