Welcome to visit our website of the Daejeon Yeonjeong Korean Traditional Music Center

The Daejeon Yeonjeong Korean Traditional Music Center was established to inherit and develop our traditional music, and expand the base of our traditional culture by leading the popularization and globalization of traditional music.

In 2015, our Center built a Big Madang (750 seats) which is a multi-purpose performance theater and a Small Madang (338 seats) which is a special hall where the audience can experience lively sounds. We’ve been growing into one of the leading Traditional Korean Art Centers, not just a Center for the central regions of Korea.

We’ve dedicated ourselves to promoting new traditions by sharing traditional music with our citizens through annual performances. Also, we’ve worked hard to function as a platform where you can experience traditional arts with educational programs, and information resource centers, while expanding the base of traditional music.

On top of that, to make traditional music part of our life, popular and global, our Center has been preparing programs where creative succession of traditions is incorporated with a modern edginess.

The Daejeon Yeonjeong Korean Traditional Music Center will continue to serve in developing and sharing traditional music. And we pledge to move forward as a guide of traditional arts which enrich our lives while keeping in tune with our citizens.

Going forward, I ask for your continued interest and support for our Center.

Thank you.
