Introduction of Daejeon Municipal Yeonjeong Korean Traditional Music Center The Sponsor Association of Daejeon Municipal Yeonjeong Korean Traditional Music Center, which was established in 2007, was organized to help Gukak (Korean traditional music), inherited down along the 5,000 years of Korean history, to be introduced and spread aright not only in Korea but also around the world and also to introduce the excellence and development of Korean traditional music by utilizing the advanced IT of Daejeon. At the same time, this association will continue to contribute to the popularization and globalization of Gukak and support Daejeon Municipal Yeonjeong Korean Traditional Music Center so that it can develop as the cultural icon of Daejeon.
Purpose
The purpose of the Sponsor Association is to promote Gukak activities and to popularize and globalize Korean traditional music. Its purpose is also to cultivate a social environment to support the center and to provide scholarship program so as to nurture young ones in love of Gukak.
