Exhibition work, Research/Investigation on arts, art work collection/preservation, collection management, collection/management of art books and relevant data, running an internet homepage, operating museum committee, running educational program in museum, museum open to the public, running a creative studio, running an academic conference/event, international exchange project, managing exhibition room, running a permanent exhibition, supporting creative activities of domestic and international artists, insurance management on transporting exhibition works, personnel management during exhibition, creating a favorable exhibition environment, etc.

Our museum runs a "Collection/Review Committee of Daejeon City Museum of Art" in collaboration with "Daejeon City Museum of Art Management Committee" for efficient management and operation.

Management Committee

Management Committee consists of 10 committee members (less than 15) including a chairman and a vice-chairman. The director of museum automatically becomes a committee member, and members are appointed by the director among those whose specialties are required for the operation of museum, as well as those of leaning and experience.

The management committee reviews the followings.

• Regulation in Article 6, Clause 4 of [Museum and Art Museum Promotion Law and Enforcement Ordinance]
• Regulation regarding setting an admission fee in Article 5, Clause 1
• Regulation regarding lending the exhibition room
• What the director submits for consideration about managing the museum

Art Work Collection Committee

Art Work Collection Committee consists of less than 9 committee members including a chairman and a vice-chairman, and the director appoints the members among those who have experiences in art field.

Art Work Collection Committee reviews the followings.

• Selecting art pieces among objects of selection, Determining to collect, and Calculating an appropriate price
• Whether to decide not to use an art work
• What the director submits for consideration about collecting art pieces
