대전연정국악문화회관 [Daejeon Yeonjeong Municipal Korean Music Institute]

대전연정국악문화회관은 1981년 개원하여 20여년 동안 한국음악의 보존과 연구, 육성에 심혈을 기울이면서 한국문화예술 창달에 중추적인 역할을 담당하고 있는 한국 전통 문화예술 기관이다.

연간 100여회 이상의 다양한 한국음악연주 뿐만 아니라, 시민을 위한 국악강습회를 년 중 개최하여 한국음악의 저변 확대에 크게
기여하고 있는 본 연구원은 한국음악의 연구, 발전을 위하여 14,000여 권의 도서와 1,000여 점의 음반을 소장한 자료실을 시민들에게
상시 개방하고 있어 명실공히 한국음악의 요람으로 자리를 굳혀가고 있다.

특히, 본 연구원이 전통국악의 세계화를 위하여 미국, 일본, 프랑스, 호주, 중국 등 해외 초청공연에서 펼친 다양한 연주활동은
"가장 한국적인 것이 세계적인 것"이라는 명제를 세계인들에게 확인시켜준 업직으로 널리 평가받고 있다.

또한, 우리 연정국악원은 미래세대의 주역인 초,중,고교생들에게 우리 국악기 소개와 함께 궁중음악, 민속음악, 궁중무용, 창작음악 등의
다양한 프로그램으로 평생학습관을 직접 찾아가 공연해 줌으로써 지역의 꿈나무들에게 우리민족 고유의 전통문화를 이해시키고
보급하는 일에도 크게 기여하고 있다.

Daejeon Yeonjeong Municipal Korean Music Institute

The Daejeon Yeonjeong Municipal Korean Music Institute opend in 1981 with the aim to preserve and
develop Korea music and dance. It has been playing a crucial role in promoting Korean culture and arts.

Tt holds 100 domestic concerts of Korean music and dance performances each year and offers classes in these
fieldsfor those interested. This helps people to maintain interest in Korean arts at a time when westernization is
a strong thend. The reference room of the Institute has a collection of 14,000 books and 1,000 musical discs and
it allows people to share this vital part of Korea culture.

It also holds overseas concerts in such countries as America, Japan, France, Australia and China with an aim to promote
Korea music around the world. These activities are acclaimes as a milestone success to ensure that "Something Korean
can be competitive woth its uniqueness", in the world arena.

For young people, the Institute offers various classes for Korean musical instruments' introduction and Korean dance
and music ranging from court music and dance to folk music and dance, as well as contemporary Korean music and
dance. Performers of the Institute visit schools and youngsters' centers to offer performances in the Korean arts.
