Introduction
• Location : near Hochiminh
• Population : 925,000
• Area : 2,696km²
Binh Duong in Vietnam is being sharply developed by increasing foreign investment. It is the second biggest city on Dong Nai's heel in Vietnam, when it comes to scale of industrial complex. It is famous for Lai Thieu orchard, and Lacque painting. Saigon river and Dong nai river flow through Binh Duong. Owing to its beautiful scenary, tourist industry is well-developed. By the way, National Highway No. 1. passes through Binh Duong which was built by Korean soldiers during the Vietnam War. It was one of the hard-fought fields during the Vietnam War


Climate
Binh Duong has a humid subtropical climate with hot, rainy season. The dry season is from November to April and the wet season from May to October. Average annual temperature is 26.5?. Mild temperature and of weak natural disaster are good to raise short/long-term crops.

Economic development
The GDP of Binh Duong increased 14% from 1997 to 2003 averagely, and it continually increased 15.1% in 2004, especially in a industry sector. the Binh Duong's economy is characterized by a large share of industry - standing at 63.3% of total GDP - with a smaller share of 26.7% devoted to agriculture and a much smaller service sector constituting only 10% of GDP. Major export items are clothes, leather shoes, ceramic wares, wood furniture, agricultural processed food, handcrafted ornaments, lacquered wares, etc.
