As a result, local companies in Daejeon are expected to expand their businesses in Vietnam as well as in Southeast Asian markets significantly.
After a visit in Binh Duong on the 12th, Mayor Kwon Sun-Taik met with Mr. Wendan Fong, Mayor of Ho Chi Minh City, on June 13th and discussed how to strengthen cooperation between the two cities and the operations of the Daejeon Trade Office.

Ho Chi Minh City, the economic center of Vietnam, accounts for a large proportion and high potential growth for the economy of Vietnam.
Local companies in Daejeon will therefore utilize the Daejeon Trade Center in Ho Chi Minh City as a business foothold poised to enter Southeast Asian countries.
The Daejeon Trade Offices, established in Ho Chi Minh City and in the Bihn Duong Province, are composed of offices and exhibition halls, and will exhibit and promote products produced by thirty companies located in Daejeon.
Mr. Kwon Sun-Taik, the mayor of Daejeon, said, “Economic exchange is expected to increase between the two cities thanks to the establishment of the Daejeon Trade Office.” He also said, “I will not spare anything in my support for mutual growth in both cities.”
